So now you have created and published your web site, run our report against your site and have optimised as much as you can - what next?
This is where the work really begins, reciprocal linking or one way linking.
Linking is absolutely essential for high search engine rankings, reciprocal links are 2 way links - 1 way links back to your site are where you have a link from somebody else but do not offer a reciprocal in return.
Without links - you will not succeed in high search engine rankings - it's as simple as that.
We can search out and suggest lists of potential link partners for you based upon the relevancy of the link content, please note this is a service we only offer to those who have used our reporting service. This is simply because we prefer to have your site listed in our database before seeking back links and reciprocal links.
A few words of caution about linking first....
- Never use link farms - never.
- There are hundreds of services out there that offer hundreds of one way links (usually for payment) - ignore them and keep hold of your money.
- Links must be relevant - relevant links will score more in the engines algorithms than those that have been simply trawled. If your site is about hairdressing, there is little point reciprocal linking to a site about cod fishing.
- Anybody that 'promises' they can get you to the top of Google on their pay link service should be treated with the contempt they deserve. The links will almost always be irrelevant and may do you more harm than good.
- Do not 'blanket bomb' links into your site - drip feed high quality links (usually no more than 25 per month) - this process takes time, so be patient and it will come good. If the search engines see massive link submissions, they will assume something untoward is going on and will penalize you for it.
- Remember - the keyword here is patience, you may have a brilliant site and product, but now you must invest time and patience into promoting it.
- You will need a link page on your site for the placement of links, your webmaster will assist here if you do not control the site yourself.
- Keep a note of all sites you have linked with, and the webmasters email addresses - check back periodically to ensure that links are still active. Kill any broken links or sites that drop the link back to you.
- Do NOT spam other webmasters with persistent link requests - it is bad manners and will not enhance your reputation. If the request for linking is not acknowledged first time, wait a week or two and try again - if still no response assume they are not interested and move on.
- When requesting a link it is polite to include their link in your pages first before emailing the webmaster - this demonstrates commitment and will achieve a higher positive response rate.
- Try to link to pages with an equal or greater Google PageRank than yours. Page rank is an important concept to understand, take the time to grasp the concept.
What does our link search service do?
We will search out relevant web sites that you can then in turn email requesting reciprocal links - the links will be relevant with the page rank score shown and will not be your competitors, link farms or other such "services".
We charge £0.25 for each link we supply to you should you wish.
We can save you a lot of time by performing the initial searches for you, leaving you to concentrate on creating links and communicating with your link partners.
Please remember however that reciprocal linking is not mandatory and some webmasters do not wish to be bothered or understand the concept. Do not hound them if they decline your request or (more commonly) simply ignore you.
