This is the failing of many people, they have created their web site and now want it listed ASAP, then sit back and watch the traffic roll in right? - Wrong!
As explained in previous pages, submission is the last thing to be done do until your optimisation is complete, you need to launch your web site completely optimised, with site maps and a cohesive strategy for creating and maintaining your link network if you do not want to fail.
Only AFTER all of these steps are complete - should you consider submission.
The only caveat to this is the link network - as explained previously, this is an ongoing process and will require time and effort.
So now you have followed the process, you have created your site, you have created your link pages, you have optimised and looked closely at your competitors offerings - now is the time for submission.
If you have already submitted, do not worry too much - optimsation can take place retrospectively but we would recommend you launch with an optimised site wherever possible to avoid major changes to a live site.
We can submit your site for you to over 100 search engines worldwide, we however recommend only submitting to the major engines - there is a one off fee for this service which is £10, however there are many tools available online which will allow you to submit simply and quickly.
Please remember not to continually submit, this can be considered as spamming and may result in your site being dropped from the lists and never ranking.
At this point you may also want to consider submitting to the DMOZ open directory project - this is another way of gaining those all important rankings, be advised though - it can take up to 6 months to get a listing with them.
Please contact us if you want us to perform the submission process on your behalf and we will be happy to help.
